Typical Cancellation and Refund Framework
Exceeding 72 Hours Prior to Charter
Entitled to: Full reimbursement excluding service charges
Refund Duration: 5-7 working days
Service Fee: €50 on card transactions
Prerequisites: Cancellation must be requested formally through email or by phone
Between 24 to 72 Hours Before Charter
Entitled to: Half the entire charter fee
Refund Duration: 7-10 working days
Service Fee: €25 taken from the refund amount
Prerequisites: Valid cause needed; administrative expenses assessed
Under 24 Hours Before Charter
Entitled to: Refunds are not issued
Exception: Consideration may be given to emergency situations
Alternative: Credit for future charters may be offered at the discretion of the management
Prerequisites: Documented evidence required for emergency situations
Policy on Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Commitment to Weather Safety
Our highest concern is safety. Should weather conditions be deemed unsuitable for yachting by our accredited captain, we extend pliable options:
- Total Refund: Issued if rescheduling isn’t feasible
- Postponement: Transfer your booking to an alternative slot with no added charge
- Charter Credit: Credit note is valid for one year from the initial date of hire
Evaluation of Weather Conditions
Our weather condition assessment encompasses:
- Analysis of wind speed and trajectory
- Evaluating sea states and tidal patterns
- Predictions for visibility and potential rainfall
- Notices and bulletins from the Coast Guard
- Captain's assessment of maritime safety
Timeframe for Decision: Deliberations on weather cancellations occur at least 4 hours before the charter's scheduled departure.
Respite for Medical Emergencies
Situations of Urgency
We recognize that health crises may emerge abruptly. The following scenarios are potential candidates for special dispensation:
- Immediate hospital-required illness or injury
- Passing of a close family member
- Urgent military orders or summons
- Compulsory juror service or legal subpoena
- Natural calamities impacting travel
Requirement for Documentation
Emergency refund requests necessitate the below documents:
- Healthcare certificate or admittance records from hospital
- Official obituary notice if relevant
- Government military directives
- Official jury summoning or legal notice
- Emergency travel warnings or state-issued alerts
Process: Emergency refund evaluations happen within 3-5 business days post receipt of appropriate justifications.
Cancellations Due to Operational Concerns
Technical Difficulties
If unforeseen mechanical failings occur in your assigned boat that remain unresolved:
- Alternative Craft: We endeavor to supply an equivalent replacement
- Total Refund: Provided if no similar substitute is available
- Partial Refund: If the replacement vessel differs in cost
- Compensation: Additional recompense might be offered for inconveniences caused
Unavailability of Crew
In the uncommon event that a certified crew is not available:
- Efforts to arrange substitute crew members will be made when feasible
- Total refund offered if the charter is unable to proceed
- Options to reschedule without extra charges
Procedural Details for Refunds
Method of Reimbursement
Refunds are reimbursed through the same method originally employed for the booking:
- Credit Cards: Timeline of 5-7 working days
- Bank Transfers: Timeline of 7-10 working days
- Cash/Cheque: Timeline of 3-5 working days

Credit Card Service Expense
€50 charge for revocations surpassing 72 hours prior
Bank Transfer Service Expense
€25 charge for all bank transfer reimbursements
Additional Costs for International Operations
Additional fees may be incurred for transactions across borders
Credit for Future Charters
Circumstances for Credit Issuance
Credits for future bookings may be given as an alternative to refunds under specific conditions:
- Early termination within less than 24 hours notice
- Cancellation due to adverse weather
- Voluntary rescheduling at guest's behest
- Disruptions in operations
Stipulations for Credits
- Legitimate Duration: Credits remain valid for one year from issuance date
- Non-transferable: Credits cannot be transferred to others
- Value: Equivalent to the full cost of the yacht rental (service fees waived)
- Applicability: Applicable to any future charter that's available
- Nonextendable: Credits cannot be extended past the 12-month period
Refunds for Partial Service
Interruptions to Service
If your yacht rental experience is disrupted or ended earlier due to any reasons under our control:
- Compensation prorated for the unutilized timeframe
- Credit equivalent to future hiring of similar duration
- Complimentary offerings or service enhancements
Interruptions Caused by Guests
Should a charter conclude prematurely due to the actions or safety breaches by guests:
- No reimbursement for the unfinished period
- Total payment is still required
- Potential additional fees may apply
Dispute Resolution
Should you contest a decision made regarding your refund, the following avenues are open:
- Petition for an assessment by our administrative personnel
- Submission of supplementary proof or documentation
- Exploration of a resolution through consumer support bodies
- Employment of lawful actions as permissible by the relevant laws

- Purchase of travel insurance is fervently advised
